An Amaretto sour is made with 45 ml amaretto, 30 ml lemon juice and 7.5 ml simple syrup. Shaken and served in an old fashioned glass.
The amaretto sour is all marzipan and lemon peel under a soft cap of foam. A splash of bourbon is optional, but it keeps the sweetness in check and gives the drink a backbone.
Ingredients
1 glass
- Amaretto45 ml
- Bourbonoptional15 ml
- Lemon juice30 ml
- Simple syrup7.5 ml
- Egg whiteoptional1 egg white
Garnish Cherry and lemon zest
Preparation
- Shake without ice for 10 seconds.
- Add ice and shake for 15 seconds.
- Strain over fresh ice.
